DEPRESSION SPOKE TO ME! by Osagie

A tensed and stormy feel, the sudden raging of the deep sea, seeming like its about to get the large ship capsize, with the occupants gasping for breath ' would we ever be saved from these ' the cry of a passenger , with the burden on the ship falling into the deep ocean 'how on earth did'nt i know this was coming' the mutterings of the captain".

This scenario is not far fetched when we take a look at the reasons why humans fall into the hands of one of the deadliest killer (depression) , having its nature relative to different circumstance. death on toll in the US, India and in variety of places in the world which resulted to suicide is as a result of some depression of some sorts.

High level of care and worries envelopes the growing up stage which inturn gets to be an habit and thereafter a treasure, children have the least to worry about because no special responsibility is administered to them, leaving a care free life encourages a good countenance as a little baby is desired by all, innocence, peace and quietness as the aura so that at the sight of babies one thing becomes common to every sane man!, "peace and love".

The President of the United States said "Nigerians live in Huts"

All over the social media you find Nigerians defending their patriotism on a "platter of wood".
Truly this is offensive, but you see we really have alot to deal with than to insult him back, we have alot we haven't done to regain our pride in the international affairs, Donald Trump is not one who is interested in your reply insult, once he as said it, it is settled in his part, then he moves on to another. The best way we reflex this issue is to become more interested in national developments, I speak of your quota to developing our sovereign nation by supporting our entrepreneurs working under them or becoming one with a national refocus and rehabilitation agenda. We have problems which we all know. Lets throw back insults by working together with a common goal, I observed over my few years on the planet people tend to be united when their clan is threatened, if its with insults,  they insult back, no its not the best.
Turning the other Chick is not too intuitive though, it simply says change your approach to replying insults and attacks, I speak to the Young Nigerians and I say
" Lets Build our Nation and not just our Family Pockets!"
If we have a common goal with riches we would be out of the "hut lifestyle", our nation is promising but foolishness, strife, theft and greed will only kill us and call for more insults.
Dare to share this post if you will
I call For reformation, go all out into that idea Business, if it fails let others not rejoice but re-strategize and we truly can lift our nation up again not just with Intra-national wealth but International trade, for a boost of our economy.
China is making waves because of a common National goal
Lets stop waiting, create a national atmosphere and ideology in your Family.
NIGERIA IS NOT A SUBJECT OF RIDICULE, WE ARE A PEOPLE UNDER GOD. CREATED FOR EXPLOITS
LONG LIVE NIGERIA, LONG LIVE MY NATION, LONG LIVE AFRICA.

Making Prayer Essential to Your Children

As parents and grandparents we should all want what is best for our children.  The best schools, teachers, coaches, even the best brand of laundry detergent are what we most desire for making their lives better.
Sometimes in our never-ending quest to provide these opportunities we forget about the most meaningful things in life … like our children’s spiritual welfare.
Not to worry as Pastor and author Dr. David Ireland believes that parents can create a welcoming culture of prayer in our homes that lends itself naturally to the spiritual development of our children.

In his latest book, Raising a Child Who Prays,Dr. Ireland identifies many practical steps a parent can take to cultivate the innate desire for children to grow in their faith by regularly talking to God.
I recently sat down with Dr. Ireland to discuss why it is so important to instill prayer in young hearts, examples of how to do this, and some essential prayer lessons to be learned from a notable woman who lived nearly 300 years ago.

God's Not Dead 2 Poster

Last year, by what I can only assume was an act of divine intervention (since getting out to the movie theaters is a near impossibility for me), I turned on Netflix and discovered the modern day classic, God’s Not Dead was available to stream.
My soul rejoiced at the opportunity to see those evil atheists cinematically and definitively put in their place from the comfort of my own couch.
Sure, it was a film based on a Facebook meme that itself was a work of paranoid fiction, but it was a film I needed to see and a message I needed to share with my fellow Christians out there looking to have their preconceived ideas about higher education finally confirmed.

Can You Prove Jesus is God?

Where in the Bible does it say that Jesus claimed to be God?

Many people have come to my door in hopes of proving that Jesus never claimed to be God because he wasn’t God. Here are some verses that show their argument to have no merit.
"The Jews answered Him (Jesus), 'For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make yourself out to be God.' ” (John 10:33)
Jesus had obviously claimed to be God. So just what had He said to upset His Jewish audience so much?
“I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30)

He didn’t say that He was simply like the Father. He said that they were “one.” In verse 36, Jesus makes it clear that He had referred to Himself as the “Son of God.” Logic alone would tell us that the “Son” of God would possess the same deity as the Father. Man begets man. God begets God.

5 Areas of a Woman’s Life That Need God’s Touch

My heart was convicted as I read in Scripture of a woman who was so desperate for God's healing in her life, she was willing to do anything to just touch Him (Mark 5:24-34).
I had to ask myself, how desperate am I for God's touch on my life? There are times I might be desperate to feel and look younger, to be thinner, to have more in the way of peace and happiness. But how desperate am I to be whole and complete in every way?

After surveying nearly 100 women, I found several common areas in which women, myself included, need the touch of God to be whole and complete. I also found that Scripture addresses these areas of a woman's life so that we can receive His healing touch. See if you can relate to needing God's touch in these areas of your life, as well:

1. Our Hearts - So They Can Be "Set On Things Above"
Women often stress over the temporal - bills that must be paid, whether or not a man will come into our lives,
